Prevalat company and the communication card was established by Leon Kogan in 2019, whose mission is reducing the risk for those who suffer from life-threatening food allergies and enable them to travel and enjoy food anywhere — safely and easily. Their inspiration came from Leon’s daughter who has a number of food allergies: she and her family cope daily with the risks and insecurity associated with potentially lethal food allergies. It is their hope that the Prevalat communication card will bring comfort and security to those who share her risks.
Food Allergies on the Rise
Food allergies are a rising health concern for people around the world. In the U.S. alone, about 32 million children and adults suffer from food allergies. What happens if you go to a restaurant where no one speaks your language and you can’t communicate that certain foods cause an allergic reaction?
Imagine that: Your teenage child suffers from food allergies and visits another country as part of a foreign exchange program... Your family visits a non-English speaking country on vacation and your spouse suffers from a food allergy... You and a coworker who has food allergies are invited to a business meeting at an ethnic restaurant where most of the staff doesn’t speak English... Even a hometown restaurant can pose a challenge if the chef does not receive accurate information from the waiter. So, what do you do?
As a positive tool to help people the Prevalat ™ card offers businesses a pro-social marketing opportunity to sponsor and distribute the cards. The card is designed in a such a way that the allergy critical information is located on the first 3 pages, while the fourth one features the sponsor’s logo. This marketing opportunity is perfect for physicians, cruise lines, travel agencies, restaurants, hotels...or any business that wants to be recognized for its social responsibility and community service.
